PSU runners earn nationals berth

The PSU men's cross country team finished third at the NCAA South Central Regional last Saturday, Nov. 7, in Abilene, Texas, and earned a spot in the NCAA Division II National Championships for the third year in a row. Gorillas fall to K-State in final exhibition

The Gorillas' women's basketball team led for much of the first half before fading down the stretch in a 89-61 loss to the Kansas State Wildcats in their final exhibition game of the season. The Gorillas opened the game on a 7-0 run fueled by the dribble penetration of senior guard Maya Onikute and the inside presence of senior Aubrey Jones.… Post the First Comment

Gorillas end season with a thud at Truman

The Truman Bulldogs added insult to injury by handing the Gorillas a 28-21 loss and giving coach Chuck Broyles the first losing season of his celebrated tenure at Pitt State and the first losing season for the Gorillas since 1977. The win snapped a 10-game losing streak for the Bulldogs and proved to be the icing on a nightmarish season for Pitt, which saw the Gorillas go 1-5 away from Carnie Smith Stadium and 3-6 in MIAA play.… Post the First Comment
