Pittsburg State University's International Programs and Services Office will hold several events to celebrate "International Education Week," scheduled for Nov. 12-16.
n Tuesday, Nov. 13: Panel discussion on faculty-led study abroad programs, 3 p.m. in Balkans Room of Overman Student Center. Moderated by Julia Helminiak from International Programs, the panelists will be Steve Harmon from History, Susan Knell from Curriculum and Instruction, Myriam Krepps from Modern Languages and Literatures, Casie Hermansson from English, and Dan Ferguson from Health, Human Performance and Recreation.
n Wednesday, Nov. 14: Study Abroad information table, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in front of the University Bookstore. John O'Connell from the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS) will have an information table and be available to answer questions about their education abroad programs.
n Also on Wednesday: Interactive panel discussion on "Cross-Cultural Perspectives" for students, faculty, staff, 3 p.m.-4 p.m. in 107 Grubbs Hall. Moderated by Meltem Tugut and Julia Helminiak from International Programs, students from several countries will share their cultural experiences in the U.S. while recent study abroad students will talk about their impressions from their programs.
n Friday, Nov. 16: Tastes & Sounds of Nations, 6 p.m.-9 p.m. in McCray Recital Hall. International students will display their crafts, offer food samples and present cultural performances.
