It all just depends on what you're in the mood for.
"A romantic time in Pittsburg would be the guy picking me up and us going to Bricktown," said Jordan Johnson, junior in criminal justice. "Then after dinner, (we can go) to Chatters where we could get some cocktails."
Bricktown, located downtown on Pine Street, is a popular romantic destination for students because of their Valentine's Day Special, a dinner for two that includes a steak, salads, choice of potato, an appetizer, two glasses of house wine, and cheesecake for dessert - all for $31.95.
But some experienced Valentine's Day daters, such as William Cichy, junior in education, have tired of going out to eat every holiday.
"I'm more of a get the girl flowers, get a blanket and some food and take her to the hill behind the Vietnam memorial and watch the stars (type of guy)," Cichy said.
Turns out, Pittsburg is full of little spots to go and enjoy. Just ask Jeff Masterson, a sophomore in mechanical engineering.
"If the weather was right, I would load up a picnic basket and me and my girl would drive out somewhere close that was a clear area and have a picnic," Masterson said.
Others have more, well, unique ideas.
"What's more romantic than Hunan House?" asked Omar Torres, senior in international business. "Taking a girl to an all-you-can-eat buffet sends out the right message, in my opinion."
Scott Hopson, junior in communication, shares another buffet option - a greener one.
"Sweet Greens is the place I will be at this Valentine's Day," Hopson said. "You can't beat an all-you-can-eat salad bar, and couples get entered in for a iPod drawing."
Even the PSU campus features a few romantic spots.
"I believe a good romantic spot is the gazebo at University Lake," said Chad McCubin, a sophomore in communication. "It has a good view."
