During student opinion time, members of the Office of Student Diversity stood before SGA to ask for support in moving the current location of their office in Horace Mann into an office in the Overman Student Center.
"We are not just asking you to pass this legislation," said Anthony Moreno, a member of the diversity office. "We are asking you to join us, to get involved with this process, to start asking these questions and start pushing these issues."
Moreno said that given its current location, the Office of Student Diversity has had many problems, including being cut off from administration and the majority of student activities.
"If you put it in a central location where students can really interact with everybody, it's going to develop and the programs on campus dealing with diversity are going to be bigger and are going to get better," Moreno said.
n In other news, SGA voted unanimously to pass a resolution that stated that the student body would extend its deepest sympathy to the students, faculty and administrators of Virginia Tech.
The next SGA meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Balkans room of the Overman Student Center. Students wishing to address a campus issue are invited to attend.

I am a student Senator of the Student Government Association.
This message is to clarify a statement of the article. Instead of "student body would extend its deepest sympathy to the students, faculty and administrators of Virginia Tech", should say "student body would extend its deepest sympathy to the students, faculty and administrators of Norhern Illinois University".
