A good schedule is hard to find

On Tuesday, April 15, I did something I haven't done since I was a freshman; I woke up at five in the morning to enroll.
I wasn't really worried about getting into any classes. I am a junior, after all. But there were two courses that I was somewhat worried about.
Firstly, I was trying to get into Construction Techniques, which is a sewing class that's a requirement for fashion merchandising majors. The class holds only12 students, so it fills up pretty fast. The other class was British Theme: Modern Epic Fantasy. I believed this would fill up fast simply because it had the word "epic" in the title.
The night before, I was determined to get to bed early, so naturally I didn't get to bed until almost 1 a.m. I hate to place blame, but it was totally my BFF Megan's fault. At midnight, "Juno" was getting released at Wal-Mart, and she was stoked, and wanted me to come with her to get it.
Despite not having seen the movie, I knew that it was a cute, quirky, indie-esque film about teen-age pregnancy. Thus I figured that there would be people there who would be cute, quirky, and hipster-esque. People who dressed in stylishly out-of-style clothes, ironically used unhip words like "boss" and who would make mix tapes for anyone who looked at them twice.
Unfortunately, the only people who were there to buy the movie were people I already knew. Cute and quirky people, yes, but also people who dressed in brand new clothes, used unhip words sans irony, and whose music library I have already perused.
It seemed I had cut into desperately needed sleep for nothing. Which is classically college student.
I arrived home at 12:30, did my pre-bedtime ritual of clearing away all my clothes and school supplies and went to bed.
Five o'clock came, and even with those few hours of sleep I had no trouble getting up. I had kept my computer on and was ready. The process was relatively painless - the only hitch was that I forgot my GUS password, but by the time I was finished, I was wide awake. I don't know what it is, but something about getting up early for enrollment has the same effect as a can of Red Bull, so I got up and took a walk.
