Money is the key.
"We're kind of waiting (to start fund-raising) until it becomes more visual through the Collegio and the Morning Sun. As far as right now we're looking at a lot of grant potential," Bogner said.
She says that funds will go to purchasing the equipment and that different organizations can donate toward a specific piece of equipment.
"The recreation department is aboard, and hopefully we can get more of the college community aboard and maybe doing some fund-raising through fraternities or sororities or students who need community service," Bogner said.
Bogner says that they have a lot of community enthusiasm.
"The approximate cost at this point is somewhere in the ballpark of $400,000," Bogner said. "We've got different avenues of trying to raise the funding from outright donations to even a state planning-type donations - charitable estates to pledging grants."
They have a focus group of parents organization who will be sitting down with manufacturers and designing the playground equipment.
"It'll be exciting as it actually comes into place. As soon as we get the amount needed, as far as putting it up, that doesn't take long at all. It takes from two to three weeks," she said.
Credible Art Therapies is affiliated with the SEK Community Foundation. That's one direct route in donating.
There are many ways people can donate and participate, Bogner says. A donation packet can be picked up at Community National Bank on Centennial. Donations can also be made by calling Credible Arts Therapies at the 232-1650 or by visiting the Web site at www.credibleartstherapies.org.
Other organizations are supporting it, but are not necessarily funding it. One organization they are working with is SKIL - Southeast Kansas Independent Living, along with USD 250 special education and Greenbush Education Center.
"I think we've got a lot of bases covered. It's just now getting it out there to the general public," Bogner said.
