Softball ends year with 23-29 record

The Pitt State softball team made a showing in the MIAA post season tournament, but it was soon halted after consecutive losses to Washburn and Fort Hays State. The players ended their season with a 23-29 overall record, and 10-8 in MIAA. Baseball ends strong

The men's baseball team finished its 2008 season last weekend on a strong note, winning three out of four games against Fort Hays State University. Hafer resigns post

Jeff Hafer, who served the past five seasons as assistant coach for the Gorillas, has resigned from his position to pursue other professional opportunities, Pittsburg State University basketball coach Gene Iba announced.
